Denver surprised me. First thing I noticed? Not a spot of gum on the sidewalks, just a clean city with an easygoing vibe and friendly faces everywhere. People here clearly care about their town, and it shows in the best ways.
The whole place was buzzing with the Nuggets in the playoffs. Every bar was packed, fans were out in force, and local beers were flowing. Denver’s brews are something else—great flavors, small-batch, big character. From refreshing IPAs to dark stouts, it's a tough call on a favorite. And of course, I couldn’t miss a stop at the famous cowboy mercantile Rockmount Ranch Wear. Walked out with a classic snap-button shirt, feeling like a proper part of the place.
I also hired a sweet piece of German engineering and hit the mountain roads—winding through the Rockies with a sense of freedom you can’t find anywhere else. Add some stunning views, and it was a memorable mix of work and a bit of Denver-style play. This city’s got something special, and I’ll be back for sure.
